Chainmaille Jack-O-Lantern by ChainedBeauty Chainmaille Jack-O-Lantern by ChainedBeauty
Happy October, everybody! I made you a pumpkin.

I wanted to do something like this for a while. So I took some time off from the whole dice project to do this. Super happy with how it turned out.

Its mainly copper, with brass used around the edges. The stem is anodize aluminum. As the details will show you, it opens from the top, and a candle can go inside: [link]
I used an electric candle, because I don't want to find out how hot the metal would get with an open flame in it...

This one's already sold, but I may make another one if there's a demand for it.

There's also more photos up on my facebook page as well: [link]

Beautiful work!

I've actually featured this picture in my latest blog entry here. Full credit is given, but if you'd like me to take it down, feel free to let me know, and I will. :)

This is impressive, to say the least!
I need to experiment more with CIR. It looks like it's really useful to build solid structures with chainmail.

Holy crap! I am so jealous right now haha. I would really like to discuss either outright buying one or buying some instructions? Please let me know if either would be considered.

If you'd like to buy one and support what I do, that's great, and I would love it. However, I had the concept of selling instructions. Instead, I'd like to make a tutorial so anyone can see it, although it'd be a few weeks before I can get around to it I think. The concept isn't that hard, it just takes a lot of time.

Hmmmmm. An amazing piece, and no mistaking that.

I guess I'll have to experiment myself along those lines. I've enough red bronze--pretty much the same color as copper, but harder--black stainless and even green aluminium. The other pics of the electric tea candle indicate size...

Well, it's a break for bikinis and corsets, and I do love Halloween...

Well there was some blood involved when I cut myself with my saw... =P

But for me, this is more a labor of love. It took some time, but I enjoyed every bit of it.
